what is the history of the ourobouros (sp.?)? I know it's a world-wide symbol, but has anyone ever traced where the earliest recorded instances of this symbol might be?

    Apparently, the farthest they can trace it back is 1600 BC, Egypt. But who knows how far it predates such inscriptions. It is also found in China dating from around 1200 BC.
